Paper or plastic?

A key factor to consider when choosing your label material is water resistance. If you're using your labels in an environment where they may come into contact with moisture or humidity (such as food packaging), it's important that the materials used are resistant to water damage. Look for labels made from materials such as polyester (BOPP) available in Gloss or Matte, which offer excellent durability and tear resistance and much better resistance to water and humidity than paper.

To lam, or not to lam. That is the question.

Another key question is whether or not to add lamination. In most cases only a few dollars worth of lamination can make all the difference in the world when it comes to added protection against moisture and oils and superior durability against tearing and peeling. Lamination can also provide a particular texture or look and feel with a Matte Soft Touch or Glossy, light reflecting finish that can really set your brand apart from the competition.

Of course, cost is also an important consideration when choosing your label material. While high-quality materials may be more expensive upfront, they can ultimately save you money in the long run by ensuring that your labels remain intact for the long haul. By investing in more durable and water-resistant label materials, you'll not only protect your products from damage but also ensure a better customer experience overall.
